Architectural lighting solutions
Nulite, a company specializing in high-performance architectural lighting solutions, needed to modernize its core brand identity as it entered a new stage of growth driven by the launch of its premium sub-brand, Studio by Nulite.
As the company expanded into a more design-focused and sophisticated market, the existing Nulite brand needed to evolve alongside it. The challenge was to elevate the brand’s visual identity and overall perception without losing the accessibility, usability, and technical credibility that had made Nulite successful within the architectural lighting industry. The visual refresh needed to support multiple audiences, from lighting agencies to sales teams, and build stronger alignment across every touchpoint, including Nulite Studio.
SketchDeck’s goal was to create a future-ready architectural lighting brand identity system that improved Nulite’s overall perception, strengthened visual unity, and positioned the core brand to sit comfortably beside Studio while supporting long-term growth.
The SketchDeck team partnered closely with Nulite to develop a modernized brand identity and visual system centered on refinement rather than reinvention. Guided by the idea of “Lighting Solutions for Today and Tomorrow”, the refreshed identity focused on creating a more sophisticated and design-forward brand presence while preserving the performance-driven foundation that defined Nulite. Cleaner layouts, stronger visual hierarchy, and a more restrained palette—all rooted in architectural thinking—helped modernize Nulite and create a more confident presence focused on performance, engineering, and usability.
A major focus throughout the process was ensuring alignment between Nulite and Studio by Nulite. The new brand, Studio, introduced a more editorial expression, while Nulite’s maintained a grounded, performance-oriented identity. To achieve harmony between the two brands, typography, layout structure, and visual guidelines were developed in tandem to complement one another, allowing both brands to maintain distinct identities while working seamlessly together.
To prepare Nulite for this new era of sophistication, SketchDeck developed a comprehensive, scalable visual system spanning brand guidelines, website design direction, marketing materials, presentation templates, and production assets. The final design structure is cohesive and future-ready, built to support long-term growth across all brands.
The result is a modern and scalable architectural lighting brand identity that elevates the core Nulite identity with a strong presence and lights the way for the new Studio brand to shine. The unified visual and strategic framework enables Nulite to support future product launches, strengthen brand consistency, and communicate with confidence across audiences.
The refined branding also positions the company more competitively within the architectural lighting space, balancing design-forward storytelling with technical credibility and performance. Beyond the launch of Studio, the new design system provides Nulite with a durable foundation for growth, one that scales with the company’s evolving goals and expanding product lines.
