Celebrating SketchDeck’s 10th Anniversary with Founder, Chris Finneral

As SketchDeck marks its 10th year in business, founder Chris Finneral reflects on the journey that led to this significant milestone. From humble beginnings to becoming a leading force in design innovation, SketchDeck’s evolution showcases a commitment to excellence, adaptability, and a clear vision for the future.

A Decade of Innovation

After 10 years of growing SketchDeck, 10 years of “SketchTime”, there’s a lot to remember and celebrate. Chris reminisces, “It feels like yesterday that I started it, but when I think about all the things that have happened in this time, there’s a lot.”

From pivotal moments like joining Y Combinator to navigating the challenges of a global pandemic, each experience intricately shaped SketchDeck’s trajectory. “We shifted from a software-focused operational approach to a more hybrid model,” Chris notes. “The decision to go fully remote was a game-changer for us.”

Last year, 10 years of incredibly hard work paid off with the acquisition of SketchDeck by 24 Seven. “The people at 24 Seven have… gone above and beyond. We have a lot of shared clients, a very complimentary offering, and we’ve been going to market together in a number of opportunities,” said Chris, “The business synergies between what 24 Seven does and what SketchDeck does have become so true. We’re just getting started.”

Staying True to Purpose

Despite the changes, SketchDeck’s core purpose has remained constant. “We’ve always been about democratizing design,” Chris emphasizes. “Well-designed experiences have a positive impact on society and business, and that’s what drives us forward.

Maintaining consistency amidst change has been a cornerstone of SketchDeck’s success. “From the beginning to right now, we’ve stayed true to our purpose,” says Chris. “It’s remarkable to see how far we’ve come while remaining focused on our mission.”

Building a Strong Culture

Central to SketchDeck’s journey is its exceptional team and culture. “Our culture is incredible,” Chris proudly states. “We invest in making sure our people are connected and supported, fostering collaboration and camaraderie.”

As SketchDeck looks to the future, Chris envisions continued growth and expansion. “We’re excited about the opportunities ahead,” he shares. “Our partnership with 24 Seven has opened new doors, and we’re just getting started.”

A Bright Future Ahead

“I think we hit the 10-year mark at a really nice point for SketchDeck,” reflects Chris. “As I look ahead, I’m super excited about the expansion and growth opportunities to come over the next few years.”

With a decade of innovation behind us and a clear vision for the future, SketchDeck is poised to continue making waves in the world of design. As we celebrate this milestone, we know the journey is far from over. Cheers to another decade of creativity, impact, and success. 10 years down; a lifetime to go!
